Welcome to The Word Corner community – we would love for you to join us!

It is an opportunity to grow with The Word Corner by establishing yourself as one of the centerpieces of this creative hub. We’ll showcase your work (and you, if you choose it) from our very beginnings, benefiting from our official launch (to come) and longer term exposure as we grow.

Writers in the January 2026 cohort will receive:

❖ Step-by-step direct guidance in a customisable self-publishing pathway – we meet you where you’re at

❖ Selection of a Writer’s Pass – FREE FOR FIRST YEAR

❖ Writers can select from a menu of services to support their self-publication journey including (these are NOT INCLUDED IN PASS):

❖ Basic review (copy and line editing, not structural editing) of a manuscript

❖ Formatting a Word doc into a professional EPUB

❖ Cover design

❖ Support with imprint page, back cover blurb

❖ Support with a writer bio

❖ Guidance and support with administration (e.g. ISBN, lodgement of manuscript with National Library)

❖ Upload of EPUB to The Word Corner (required if selling or showcasing on The Word Corner)

❖ Professional online presence – whether you choose to sell via The Word Corner or not – INCLUDED IN PASS

❖ Marketing (as part of The Word Corner’s overall marketing) – INCLUDED IN PASS

❖ Admin support (e.g. report on sales if selling with The Word Corner) – INCLUDED IN PASS

❖ Membership benefits – INCLUDED IN PASS

Further important info:

  • Invitation is to join a fully-customisable publication-readiness pathway for the January intake of 5-10 writers, and be listed as a writer on The Word Corner ongoing

  • Cohorts in 2026 will likely to commence in January, March, May, July, September and November, and run for six to eight weeks

  • Customised price provided privately based on choice of support

  • Writers will work 1:1 directly with the Content Editor (and indirectly with a Graphic Creative via the Content Editor)

  • Writers can also connect with other members of their cohort for support (e.g. reading of a chapter)

  • It is an option for writers to sell their work on The Word Corner - No commissions are taken (these are built into the fees), but a 3% Shopify fee is charged for any book sold – a writer can choose not to sell their book at anytime

  • Writers are not restricted to listing and selling their works on The Word Corner – The Word Corner does not have exclusive rights to a work unless the work is sold to The Word Corner

    Example: If a writer only wanted to upload their writer’s bio to The Word Corner, then the minimum investment for the Jan 2026 cohort would start at $90+GST.

    For writers in subsequent cohorts a 12-month Writer’s Bio Pass would be $220+GST plus a starting price of $90+GST to review their bio and upload it to The Word Corner.
